Andrew has been involved in all aspects of the financial services industry, as a fund portfolio investment manager, investment banker, family office investor and attorney.  He has worked with start-ups on their first raise through global enterprises undertaking billion-dollar stock offerings, and has significant investment experience in the cannabis industry.

Upon graduation from law school, Andrew was appointed to the faculty of Hunter College, City University of New York, as an Assistant Professor in the Economics Department.  Thereafter, he joined Sullivan & Cromwell in New York as a corporate and securities attorney.  Andrew has also practiced law at Mori Hamada & Matsumoto (Tokyo, Japan), Thacher Proffit & Woods, and Davis Wright Tremaine, focusing his legal practice on technology, securities, asset-based finance and corporate law.

As an investment banker, Andrew spent nearly a decade in New York with SMBC Nikko Securities America, Inc. as an SVP raising debt and equity for real estate, technology, hospitality, industrial and financial clients on a global basis and in executing cross-border M&A mandates. Thereafter, he was SVP of Portfolio Management and Strategic Development for Madison Capital Management (predecessor to MVP), where for a decade he participated in establishing new investment silos and in originating, structuring, documenting, closing and asset managing CRE assets including hotels, multi-family, office, and marinas. After Madison, Andrew joined G4 Capital Partners, a family office, investing in and asset-managing multi-family, hospitality and restaurant assets.

In 2016, Andrew joined Tress Capital, LLC, a boutique investment firm focused on strategic investing in early-stage cannabis businesses, as a Strategic Advisor and COO.  While at Tress, he focused on origination, structuring and fund management.  Thereafter, as Principal of AJK Consulting LLC, Andrew continued his financing and consulting activities.

Andrew has a BS from Cornell University and a JD from New York University School of Law and is a member of the New York Bar.
